Studios

General

Studio internalAccess to the main building from Reception can only be by permitted entrance by a resident or an authorised entry. Each studio is a self-contained secure apartment with its own lockable front door fitted with a spy-hole, and there is also a video entry system for the occupant's convenience.

Additional security is provided by way of the duty building manager/caretaker, CCTV within the Reception and Common Room areas and at the lift/stairwell corridors.

The flooring in each studio is laminate wood floor except in the Shower/WC where vinyl has been fitted and the entrance hall and internal doorways and shower rooms are wheel chair accessible. A lift to all levels provides wheel chair access to the Common Room.

Studio graphicThe studios all have broadband connectivity - subject to a small monthly fee to cover the costs, whilst the Common Rooms are wireless enabled. As most students have their own mobile phones there are no BT points connected to the individual studios, although a pay phone can be found in both the Reception area and Common Room.

Newsflash

Maritime Line train services will more than double form Monday, May 18, with the opening of a new passing loop at Penryn Station.

Through most of the day, six days a week, trains will run every 30 minutes between Truro, Penryn, Perran-ar-Worthal and Falmouth.

This transformation is being made possible thanks to a Cornwall Council led £7.8 million investment by the ERDF Convergence Programme, Network Rail and First Great Western.

A new 400m loop and associated signalling has been installed at Penryn that will enable trains to pass each other in the station.
