cornish surferMaritime Studios is perfectly located for student accommodation being a 10 - 15 minute walk from the campus at Wood Lane, and the town centre. Nearby there is a local post office/general store and a Tesco Express store adjacent to Events Square and the Maritime Museum.

The building benefits from an area of wild flowers meadow land, and a connecting walkway to Falmouth Docks Railway Station, providing branch line access to Penryn Station, a quarter of a mile from the Tremough Campus. This journey continues to the mainline station at Truro (Cornwall's cathedral city) with ongoing direct access to mainline Paddington in London. The journey to Truro takes appoximately 20 minutes. There are also regular bus services to Falmouth town centre and the beaches as well as the campus at Tremough.

The nearest airport is Newquay, approximately an hours drive from Falmouth with flights to destinations including London Gatwick, London Stanstead, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh.

Falmouth beaches and the town's amenities are within a 5 - 10 minutes walk and a local 'Hoppa' bus service provides access to a range of destinations including both the Wood Lane Campus and Tremough. A subsidised bus fare specifically for students runs from areas around Falmouth approximately every 15 minutes.

Newsflash

Maritime Line train services will more than double form Monday, May 18, with the opening of a new passing loop at Penryn Station.

Through most of the day, six days a week, trains will run every 30 minutes between Truro, Penryn, Perran-ar-Worthal and Falmouth.

This transformation is being made possible thanks to a Cornwall Council led £7.8 million investment by the ERDF Convergence Programme, Network Rail and First Great Western.

A new 400m loop and associated signalling has been installed at Penryn that will enable trains to pass each other in the station.
