Maritime Studios provides 145 high quality individual studios for students who are studying in and around Falmouth.  Security is important as is the opportunity to socialise out of college and university, and here at Maritime Studios we offer excellent facilities for both.

Completed in October 2008, Maritime Studios is known in the student community  for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere, coupled with stunning views – particularly from the triple aspect penthouse common room where there are views over sea, town and harbour.  Situated adjacent to Falmouth Docks railway station (branch line to Truro) and with “First” buses stopping at the end of the road (Pendennis Rise) there are good public transport links to the campus at Tremough, and it is within a few minutes walking distance of both the campus at Wood Lane and the Marine College.

The Ships and Castles swimming pool and leisure centre is within a short walk, Ocean Bowl 10 pin bowling centre is close by, and Falmouth town centre offers a variety of pubs, clubs and student focused outlets as well as a range of local and national shops.

The concept and ethos of Maritime Studios is to provide those students who want their own space and privacy within a well designed and equipped studio in a secure building.  Each studio has a living room/bedroom, with double bed, built in wardrobes, and desk; a well equipped kitchen area, including a washer/dryer, and a shower room/w.c.  There is a private balcony for each studio and a ‘building-wide’ broadband connection plus television and satellite connections.

For security, Maritime Studios has a building manager, on duty Monday to Friday, a live-in caretaker, secure controlled access to the building and individually locked studio front doors, CCTV cover and security personnel on duty 2 evenings a week.

In addition to the studios, there are 2 common rooms – each broadband wireless enabled. The ground floor reception/ common room has individual locked post-boxes for each studio, a plasma screen, pool table, vending machine and sofas; whilst the penthouse common room has a television screen with games console connections and relaxing seating and tables.  There are also a limited number of secure stores and car parking bays (each available for rent on a first come - first served basis) and a number of cycle racks.

There are a limited number of vacant studios still available for immediate occupation in this prestigious building, which can be offered with a discounted rent, for a limited period only.
